KAMLOOPS — Interior Health is alerting the public of a contaminated drug supply in the Kamloops area.

The health authority says stimulants contaminated with fentanyl have a high risk for overdose.

With that, people who use drugs are advised to have their drugs checked, don’t use alone, carry a Naloxone kit, or use an overdose prevention site.

IHA also recommends using the LifeGuard app, which can contact emergency services for you should an overdose occur.
